LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the ‘Chief Minister Internship Program’ aimed at fostering a bright future for the youth, as reported by news channel Youth aged 18 to 25 can now apply for the internship program by visiting www.cmip.punjab.gp.pk. Those selected will have the opportunity to intern at leading private sector organizations.

The Chief Minister emphasized, “We are committed to guiding the youth towards financial independence with dignity. Young people, step up—your bright future awaits.” In the first phase of the program, 6,000 internships will be offered, each lasting six months. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000. Preference will be given to recent graduates who completed their degrees within the last two years.

Previously, the Punjab government had introduced the Chief Minister Climate Leadership Development Internship Program as part of the ‘Mera Punjab Smog Free’ initiative, which aimed at taking effective measures to improve the province’s environment. Under this program, young graduates received Rs 25,000 to help combat smog, with applications open to those aged 18 to 25 who had graduated within the last two years.
